Questions
Do I need a design file to start?+
No. Trunk needs only the URL of your live product. You capture it and start from there. You can also start blank.
What does capture need from me?+
A URL and the screen sizes you want. There is nothing to install.
Can it capture pages behind a login?+
Yes, on Team, when you walk the product yourself. You sign in as you normally would and Trunk captures each page you open. What you type to sign in goes to your product only. Trunk does not keep it. The automatic walk never reads a page that asks for a password.
Can one person break the design for everyone?+
No. Nobody edits main. Each change is made on a branch. Verify compares the branch with the real site, and main changes only when someone who can merge merges it.
Is it real HTML and CSS, or its own format?+
Real HTML and CSS, shown as a browser renders it. Icons and logos are inline SVG.
What's the pricing catch?+
No catch. The first month is free, with no card: one product, up to 3 editors and 2 open branches, without AI or Verify. When it ends you can keep it read-only for free. Team is $15 per seat per month billed annually, or $19 monthly. Team includes 50 AI actions per seat each month. Extra actions are $0.10 each.
